In the rolling process of aluminum foil, due to the plastic deformation of metal, new surface is continuously generated, and the contact surface has a high unit pressure, coupled with the high deformation temperature, sliding speed and other characteristics, so that the roller surface adhesion to metal, roller wear and other phenomena are particularly prominent. When the metal is adhered to the roller, the sliding external friction between the two will turn into the internal friction of the metal surface, and the shear deformation of the subsurface will occur, so as to change the friction state at the adhesion site of the metal, leading to the change of the metal stress state and the change of the flow state. As a result, the friction increases, the energy consumption increases, the surface of the product is damaged significantly, the roller wears sharply, and the service life is shortened.

The wear condition in rolling process of aluminum foil  is very complicated, metal wear is related to metal material, surface oxide, work hardening, processing temperature, speed, lubricant and surrounding environment. In the process of material deformation, one or more mechanisms may play a role simultaneously. Moreover, the deformation process itself is variable. When rolling, the roll is repeatedly and continuously in contact with the rolled piece, and the rolled piece into the deformation area of the surface is constantly changing.
